The Range-Tier Challenge
At 5,000+ sq ft with multiple outbuildings, post-close coordination is a management problem — not just a punch list.
A luxury compound with a main house, guest suite, and workshop isn't just a bigger build — it's three independent sets of systems, finishes, and sub-contractor responsibilities to close out simultaneously. And the homeowner expects all three to be perfect before they move in.
At this tier, the challenge isn't the size of the punch list — it's the coordination surface. Your HVAC sub needs to close out two buildings. Your paint crew needs access to three. The homeowner wants answers about all of them, and they don't care which structure originated the call.
Build Support's Range Plan was built for this. One coordinator, all structures, batched access scheduling, and a single organized report to your team. Nothing falls through and nothing gets duplicated.

🏗️ Three - Structure Punch List Chaos
Separate walkthroughs, separate issue logs, separate sub-contact trees — without centralized coordination, the Range-tier punch list becomes its own project. Build Support consolidates all of it into one organized system from day one.
📆 Scheduling Across Multiple Access Points
Homeowner availability, sub-contractor schedules, and access to three structures with different key/gate arrangements. Build Support batches access windows across structures — one confirmed time, one trip, one close-out per trade where possible.
📞. Homeowner Communication at Scale
Range-tier homeowners are often managing a primary residence in addition to the Montana property. They want responsiveness, not coordination burden. Build Support is the single number they call — for every structure, every question, every follow-up
📑. Builder Accountability Across Structures
On a multi-structure build, documentation gaps create disputes. Without consistent photo-timestamped logs per structure, it becomes impossible to distinguish pre-existing conditions from post-close damage. Build Support builds that record from day one..

Questions & Answers
Common questions about the Range builder warranty plan
-
Major detached structures include guest houses, detached garages, workshops, studios, barns, and pool houses — any habitable or functional structure separate from the main house. The Range Plan covers the main house plus up to two such structures, confirmed at builder onboarding. If the property has three or more major detached structures, the Legacy Plan (unlimited structures, custom-scoped) is the appropriate tier.
-
When the same trade — HVAC, paint, finish carpentry, etc. — has open items in multiple structures, we schedule them to service all relevant structures in a single confirmed access window. One homeowner confirmation, one trip, all items addressed together. We coordinate the scope for each structure before the visit, confirm in writing, and follow up on each item until resolution is confirmed. This approach minimizes disruption for the homeowner and closes items faster for your subs.

The Range Plan is $1,850/month for three months — $5,550 total, billed monthly in advance. This covers the main house and up to two confirmed major detached structures, including all walkthroughs, documentation, sub-contractor coordination, homeowner communication, and consolidated builder reporting. There are no per-visit fees, no per-structure surcharges, and no add-on costs for services included in the plan.
-
Covered structures are confirmed at onboarding. If additional structures need to be added mid-engagement, a tier adjustment may apply. The best practice is to confirm all structures at the start of the engagement — we'd rather know the full scope on day one than adjust mid-stream. If you're unsure at onboarding whether the Range or Legacy tier is the right fit, contact us before closing and we'll scope it accurately.

Yes — Range-tier homeowners are among Build Support’s most natural ongoing caretaking clients. A 5,000+ sq ft property with multiple structures in Big Sky or Bozeman typically requires seasonal oversight, winterization, and ongoing system monitoring. By the time the 90-day warranty engagement closes, Build Support already knows every system, every structure, and the homeowner's expectations. The transition from warranty coordination to ongoing caretaking is seamless, and builders who refer into the Build Support system often see it strengthen the long-term homeowner relationship significantly.
